Are your gemstones natural?

Yes. Celésti offers natural gemstones that are carefully selected and reviewed for authenticity and quality. Each stone is represented honestly and transparently.

Are your gemstones treated?

Some gemstones in the market are commonly treated; however, where applicable, we disclose all known information.
If no treatment is detected through standard gemological examination, this will be stated accordingly.

Natural gemstones may vary in appearance, and minor inclusions or variations are part of their authenticity.

Where are your gemstones sourced from?

Our gemstones are sourced through trusted family expertise in Sri Lanka, a country renowned for its gem heritage. Celésti is based in Canada, with sourcing and selection guided by long-established experience.

Certification & Documentation

Are your gemstones certified?

Some gemstones may be accompanied by official export and identification documentation issued by the Sri Lanka Gem & Jewellery Authority, the country’s national gem authority.

Additional verification options are available upon request.

Do you provide GIA or IGI certificates?

International laboratory certification (such as GIA or IGI) is not included by default, but may be discussed upon request depending on the gemstone and purpose.

For many gemstones, independent gemological verification provides appropriate reassurance.

Can I request independent verification?

Yes. Independent gemological verification can be arranged locally in Edmonton through recognized professional gemologists using standard gemological testing methods. Written identification or appraisal reports may be available depending on the stone

Viewing, Payment & Pickup

Do I need to pay to view gemstones?

No. You may inquire, review, and discuss gemstones without any payment or obligation.

How do payments work?

Celésti currently accepts e-transfer only for all deposits and final payments. Payment details are shared once terms are confirmed.

When is payment required?

• No payment is required to view or discuss gemstones

• A 25% deposit is required only after a gemstone is selected and confirmed for custom sourcing

• The remaining balance is payable at pickup, after in-person inspection

Can I inspect the gemstone before final payment?

Yes. All pickups include the opportunity to inspect the gemstone in person before completing the final payment.

Custom Gem Requests

What is a custom gem request?

A custom gem request allows you to specify the gemstone, size, colour, or character you are seeking. We then source suitable options through our trusted Sri Lankan network.

Is the deposit refundable?

Deposits are applied toward the final purchase. Once a gemstone has been imported specifically for you, the deposit is non-refundable, except in rare cases of verified* material misrepresentation*.

How long does custom sourcing take?

Timelines vary depending on availability, rarity, and documentation requirements. We will provide updates throughout the process.

Returns & Policies

Do you accept returns?

Because gemstones are carefully represented and inspected in person, sales are generally final.
Exceptions apply only in cases of verified* material misrepresentation*, as outlined in our Policies.

Are all certificates or reports accepted?

No. Only documentation from recognized and independently verifiable professional gemologists or authorities is considered. Reports from unknown or unverifiable sources are not accepted.

Do you use a Stone ID system?

Yes. Each gemstone sold by Celésti is assigned a unique Stone ID and documented with images, measurements, and specifications at the time of confirmation and pickup.
Any review or exception request must match the original Stone ID records.

Wholesale

Do you offer wholesale pricing?

Yes. Wholesale pricing is available for orders of five (5) or more gemstones purchased at one time, with a 40% wholesale discount.

What does “material misrepresentation”* mean?

Material misrepresentation refers to a significant and objective difference between the gemstone provided and the documented details confirmed prior to import, such as:

• gemstone type

• weight or measurements beyond normal industry tolerances

• colour that materially differs from documented images

Minor variations in weight (for example, ±0.05 ct), measurements, or colour appearance due to lighting or natural characteristics are considered normal and do not constitute misrepresentation.

What does “verified”* mean?

Verified means confirmed using documentation, inspection records, and/or evaluation by a recognized and independently verifiable professional gemologist or authority. Personal opinions or reports from unverifiable sources are not accepted.
