Celésti operates with a focus on transparency, accuracy, and mutual respect.
The following policies are designed to protect both our clients and the integrity of bespoke gemstone sourcing.
Clients are welcome to inquire, view, and discuss gemstones without any obligation or payment.
All in-person pickups include the opportunity to inspect the gemstone prior to completing final payment. We encourage clients to take their time and ask questions before confirming a purchase.
Celésti currently accepts e-transfer only
No payment is required to view or discuss gemstones
For custom-sourced gemstones, a 25% deposit is required only after a gemstone is selected and confirmed
The remaining balance is payable at pickup, after inspection
Payment details are provided once terms are clearly agreed upon.
Custom-sourced gemstones are selected and imported specifically for an individual client.
Once a gemstone has been selected, documented, and confirmed:
Import begins only after receipt of the agreed deposit
Deposits are applied toward the final purchase price
Because of the bespoke nature of this process, deposits are non-refundable once import has begun, except in rare cases of verified material misrepresentation* as outlined below.
Some gemstones may be accompanied by official export and identification documentation issued by the Sri Lanka Gem & Jewellery Authority, the country’s national gem authority.
Independent gemological verification may be arranged locally through recognized professional gemologists using standard gemological testing methods. Written identification or appraisal reports may be available depending on the gemstone and purpose.
Documentation or reports from unrecognized or unverifiable sources are not accepted.
Sales are considered final except in rare cases of verified material misrepresentation*.
* Material misrepresentation refers to a significant and objective difference between the gemstone provided and the documented specifications confirmed prior to import, such as:
gemstone type
weight or measurements beyond normal industry tolerances
colour that materially differs from documented images
Minor variations in weight (for example, ±0.05 ct), measurements, or colour appearance due to lighting, photography, or natural characteristics are considered normal and do not constitute misrepresentation.
* Verified refers to confirmation based on documented specifications, inspection records, and/or evaluation by a recognized and independently verifiable professional gemologist or authority.
Personal opinions, buyer preference, or reports from sources that cannot be independently verified are not considered sufficient grounds for a claim.
Each gemstone sold by Celésti is assigned a unique Stone ID and documented with images, measurements, and specifications at the time of confirmation and pickup.
Any review, exception request, or verification must match the original Stone ID records. This policy protects both the client and Celésti by ensuring accuracy and preventing substitution or handling discrepancies.
Wholesale pricing is available for qualifying orders as outlined on our Wholesale page. Wholesale orders are handled individually, with terms confirmed prior to sourcing or release.
Wholesale orders are subject to the same documentation, inspection, and verification standards.
Celésti is intentionally small and family-led. We value thoughtful sourcing, honest representation, and long-term trust. Our policies exist to ensure clarity, fairness, and professionalism for every client.
If you have questions about any policy, we are happy to discuss them before you proceed.
